Bio Diesel

There is various reasons why we should look at alternative forms of energy. Global warming is one of them, but, what the ordinary person feels most is the cost of living. With the global oil shortage and continuous rising of fuel costs many people find it difficult to cope with their monthly expenses.

Bio Diesel could be seen as an alternative to normal diesel, but even if you should decide to use it there is still some negative points to consider. We manufactured our own Bio Diesel and although we had positive results, one of the disadvantages is the fact that we still had to pay fuel tax if we wanted to use the fuel on public roads.

Once you add the tax and manufacturing costs it doesn't really make sense why you should go through the hassle to save a few Pence.

Wind Power

Before

After

When we generate alternative electricity the trend is to use wind power. Although there is virtually no costs involved after the original turbine purchase wind turbines also have negative points. One of them is that we have to offer some valuable land to install these turbines. Wind farms take up a lot of space which could in most instances be better utilized.
Animal rights complainers also argue that these turbines kill birds and have an influence on other mammals.
Some people also claim that the wind turbines interfere with their television signal.
If you should decide to have a wind turbine installed at home you must get planning permission. You also need a good supply of wind. These turbines only generate electricity when the wind blows. Thus, if you live in an area where there isn't sufficient wind, it is not worth investing in a wind turbine.
No matter how you look at it, if you are for or against wind power one thing is certain. In today’s economical climate we all have to look at alternatives.
We at Jessacko believe we have that answer.
